SVG to PNG Converter
This free SVG to PNG converter draws any SVG at the size you need: 1x to 8x, exact pixels, a print size at 300 DPI or a whole icon set, with a transparent background. Before you download, it checks for fonts and images that would go missing and fixes them. Nothing is uploaded.

What does this SVG to PNG converter do?
It turns SVG files into PNG, JPG or WebP images at exactly the size you need, and it tells you before you download when something would come out wrong.
- Any size, always sharp. Scale 1x to 8x, an exact width or height in pixels, a print size in inches or centimeters at 150, 300 or 600 DPI, a full icon set from 16 to 1024 pixels, or @1x @2x @3x files for apps.
- Will it look right? Every file is checked for fonts that would be replaced, images linked from elsewhere, a missing size, animation and HTML inside the SVG. A missing font is fixed in one click, from Google Fonts or from your own font file.
- Smaller PNG files. Logos and icons usually use few colors, so the PNG is rewritten in the most compact lossless form, often much smaller than a browser's standard export, with exactly the same pixels.
- Print-ready. In the For print mode the DPI is written into the file, so Word, InDesign and print shops open it at the right physical size.
- Icon colors. Icons that use currentColor get a color picker instead of coming out black.
- Batch, paste and ZIP. Several files at once, or SVG code pasted straight from Figma or an icon site.
How do you convert SVG to PNG?
- Drop SVG files on the page, paste SVG code anywhere, or press Try a sample logo.
- Under Size, pick Scale, Width, Height, For print, Icon set or @1x @2x @3x.
- Choose PNG, JPG or WebP, and a transparent or colored background. Trim removes empty space around the art; Margin adds breathing room.
- Read Will it look right? under each file and apply any fix it offers.
- Download the image, or Download all (.zip).
Why does text change font when an SVG becomes a PNG?
Because most SVG files name their font instead of containing it. A web page can download that font; an SVG drawn as an image cannot, and falls back to a default font such as Times or Helvetica. Online converters that run on a server do the same thing silently. This page checks whether each font is embedded in the file, installed on your computer or missing, and embeds the missing ones so the PNG matches the design. The fixed SVG can be downloaded too, so it works everywhere next time.
What size should the PNG be for print?
| Printed width | At 300 DPI | At 150 DPI |
|---|---|---|
| 2 in (5.1 cm) | 600 px | 300 px |
| 4 in (10.2 cm) | 1,200 px | 600 px |
| 8.5 in (21.6 cm) | 2,550 px | 1,275 px |
| 11 in (27.9 cm) | 3,300 px | 1,650 px |
300 DPI is the standard for sharp prints held at arm's length; posters seen from a distance get away with 150.
What this converter does not do
- It does not animate. An animated SVG becomes a still image of its first frame.
- It cannot export HTML inside an SVG. Browsers block reading the pixels of a foreignObject element, so that file shows an error instead of a broken image.
- It does not invent a missing font. It warns you and offers the fix.
- It draws with your browser. Chrome, Safari and Firefox agree on almost everything; rare filters can differ slightly.
Is my SVG private?
Yes. Files are read and drawn inside your browser tab and never uploaded. The only outside request is the optional Get it from Google Fonts button, which fetches that one font, trimmed to the letters in your text.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert SVG to PNG?
Drop one or more SVG files on this page, or paste SVG code anywhere on it. Pick a size, the format and the background, and the PNG appears right away with a download button. Several files, or several sizes of one file, download together as a single ZIP. Nothing leaves your browser.
How do I convert an SVG to a high resolution PNG?
Choose Scale and pick 4x or 8x, or choose Width and type the exact number of pixels you need. An SVG is made of shapes, not pixels, so it is drawn again at the new size and stays perfectly sharp. The only ceiling is the browser canvas, 16,384 pixels per side.
Why does the text in my SVG change font when converted to PNG?
An SVG usually names its font without including it. If that font is not on the computer doing the conversion, the text falls back to a default font. This converter checks every font before you download, and fixes a missing one by embedding it from Google Fonts or from a font file you provide.
Does the PNG keep a transparent background?
Yes. Transparent is the default, so the empty parts of the SVG stay see-through in the PNG. Pick Color to fill the background instead. JPG has no transparency, so a JPG export always gets a background, white unless you choose another color. Trim removes empty space around the art.
What PNG size do I need to print at 300 DPI?
Multiply the print size in inches by 300. A logo printed 4 inches wide needs 1,200 pixels; 10 centimeters is about 1,181 pixels. The For print option does this math for you, in inches or centimeters, and writes 300 DPI into the file so Word and print shops read the right size.
How do I export an SVG icon in every size?
Choose Icon set and tick the sizes you need, from 16 to 1024 pixels. Each size is drawn separately from the vector, so small icons stay crisp instead of being shrunk from a big image. For apps and websites, the @1x @2x @3x option saves three files named the way iOS and Android expect.
Why is my SVG icon black after converting?
Many icon sets color their shapes with currentColor, which means use the color of the surrounding text. On its own, with no page around it, that color is black. When this converter finds currentColor it shows an Icon color picker, so the PNG comes out in the color you want.
Why is my converted SVG blank, tiny or cut off?
Usually the SVG has no width, height or viewBox, so a browser draws it at a default 300 by 150 pixels and crops the rest. This converter measures the drawing itself when the size is missing. A blank result can also mean the art is an image linked from another file, which the checks point out.
Is my SVG uploaded to a server?
No. The SVG is read and drawn inside your browser tab, and closing the tab clears everything. The only request that ever leaves the page is the optional Get it from Google Fonts button, which asks Google for that one font, trimmed to the letters your text uses.
What does this SVG converter not do?
It saves the first frame of an animated SVG, not the animation. It cannot export SVGs that contain HTML through a foreignObject element, because browsers block reading those pixels. It does not guess a missing font: it tells you and offers the fix. Rendering follows your browser, so rare filters can differ slightly.
